Dates and Wages for the Korean Leave and Severance Tools
A one-day date difference or mixing old leave with a new entitlement can change how you read a result. These are Korean employment tools with limited models, not a universal leave or pension calculation.
Retirement date follows the final work day
If the final working day is September 30, enter October 1 as the retirement date. October 1, 2023 to October 1, 2026 spans 1,096 days because it includes a leap day. Calendar dates and multiplying whole years by 365 are not always equivalent.
Check the wage components
Use actual wages over the preceding three calendar months. Enter eligible annual bonus and leave-allowance amounts as annual totals; the tool includes three twelfths. A changed salary or a mid-month retirement may not be represented correctly by simply multiplying one monthly salary by three.
Keep the current leave entitlement separate
For the supported full-time model, an employee hired October 1, 2023 and still employed October 1, 2026 has a sample current entitlement of 16 days when attendance conditions are met. Using three from that entitlement leaves 13. Old balances and expiration are not automatically combined.
When to use an official calculation
Excluded periods, DC pension balances and retirement-income tax are outside the severance tool. Fiscal-year leave, attendance exceptions and part-time hour-based conversions are outside the leave tool. Use the employer’s records and official guidance for those cases.
Try the relevant tools
Links to Korean tools retain their Korean rules. Use the English arithmetic tools for country-neutral calculations.
